A Gentle Rhythm for the Weekend
Each morning, we’ll come together at the hotel for deep conversations and explorations about the mind and body. You’ll have space to reflect, ask questions, and uncover new insights.
Then, you’ll enjoy a long midday break—perfect for a leisurely lunch, a swim, a walk by the sea, or simply resting in the warmth of the Spanish sun.
In the late afternoon, we’ll gather at a stunning local yoga studio for practical, body-based sessions. These will include fascial freedom classes, body scan meditations, gentle movement, self-unwinding, and even a little jiggling to rehydrate your fascia and bring you home to your body in a whole new way.

You won’t be on this journey alone—we’ll be right there with you, guiding and supporting you as you feel your way into your healing.

Beautiful Albir!
Situated in a lovely corner of the Costa Blanca, on the coast, and with all the amenities of a small, quiet, yet lively town, Albir is the ideal location for the retreat. Everything you could need to make this a relaxing, enjoyable and memorable experience can be found within walking distance including the beach, cafes, bars and restaurants, supermarket and a wide variety of shops.
Albir’s beach is called “Playa de Racó de l’Albir” and has received the coveted European Union Blue Ribbon award, annually since 2001 – not a bad recommendation!
A favourite route to walk in the nature park is the ‘Faro’ trail which leads to a lighthouse. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of a dolphin or two as you look down to the sea from the lighthouse. The beginning of the trail is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel venue.

Meet Your Guides
Julie McCammon is a physiotherapist and expert-level practitioner of the John F. Barnes approach to Myofascial Release (MFR). She has over 35 years of experience working with people in pain. She’s also a Bodymind coach and author of Finding Mystery Within, Re-Thinking Pain, and the soon-to-be-released Quiet Mind Quiet Body.
She is currently based in Northern Ireland, where she runs her own private practice and holistic healing space, The Garden Room. Here, she helps her clients in their quest to alleviate pain and optimise health.
Her first book, Finding Mystery Within, is a self-published memoir that chronicles her journey toward a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection as she healed from chronic illness. She beautifully intertwines her unique experiences with an intimate understanding of bodywork, inviting us to transform our pain into passion.
‘Re-Thinking Pain’ is a beautifully designed booklet with great graphics that combines an understanding of how the mind works with the latest pain neuroscience. It is specifically written for those struggling with persistent pain.
Julie spent over a year researching and writing ‘Quiet Mind, Quiet Body, ‘ a book that aims to help readers unlock the mystery of the mind and find freedom from chronic pain.
Julie is married to Peter and is the mother of two adult children, Jacob and Sophie. She continues to support them and others in their quest for self-discovery, authenticity, and growth.

Sheela Masand is an experienced transformational coach, mentor, and events organiser, dedicated to supporting individuals in recognising their true potential.
During her 15 years of Three Principles coaching, Sheela is incredibly grateful to have discovered that there is a way to be at ease with a body that has chronic dis-ease.
Since 2012, her dynamic Three Principles events in Spain have inspired countless individuals to break free from limitations and thrive through love and understanding.
She is also the author of Inside Out Transformation – A Revolutionary Guide for Coaches, Therapists and Counsellors.

What's the local airport to fly into?
Alicante
Does the retreat price include the hotel?
No. We have secured a special rate at the hotel for all our participants. A single room with all meals included is €92.40.
How do I reserve a room at the hotel venue?
Once you have booked your place on the retreat, you can email Sheela at sheela@sheelamasand.com and she will organise your reservation with the hotel. You pay the hotel directly on arrival.
How do I travel from the airport to the hotel?
There are several shuttle companies offering services from Alicante airport to the hotel in Albir. Our favourite is www.beniconnect.com. They offer an express service which we recommend to reduce the travel time to under an hour usually. There are also taxis available at the airport which can cost from €90 upwards.
What if I have to cancel?
We highly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Please refer to our Booking Terms & Conditions.
